Food Philosophy

Ingredients matter! 

 

I use local, seasonal and organic produce whenever possible and my meats, poultry and fish are sourced locally and raised humanely without the use of hormones or antibiotics. 

I use these high quality ingredients to make REAL food from scratch that is delicious, colorful and creative.

 

From baby kale and burrata to burgers and BBQ- Everything I make is fresh, visually appealing and tastes great!

About Meiganne 
(pronounced Mee-gan)

Meiganne is currently working as a Private Chef for families in NYC, Palm Beach and Southampton, NY.  

 

She graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in 2002 and worked for the next decade in the kitchens of top NYC restaurants, catering companies, and as a food stylist for popular cooking shows on the Food Network. 

 

She founded her company, Meiganne Serrano Catering and Events in 2008 with a mission to provide delicious, farm-to-table food and excellent service for events ranging in size from 2-200 guests.

 

During the pandemic in 2020, when she saw that there was a lack of healthy food options available for delivery in her local area, Meiganne created Serrano Cookshop, an online market that delivered chef-prepared foods (including her popular, handmade empanadas!) to families all over Northern NJ and NYC.
